Enabling the community of Kititi to work towards self-sufficiency and sustainable development

We are a small UK based charity working hand in hand with local Ugandans to enable the village of Kititi to become self-sufficient. Through education and training, by providing clean water, health care, improved housing, sanitation and electricity, and the purchase of land for agricultural projects, we have been helping families in and around Kititi, to improve their lives.

Your support enables us to continue working with the community to help them to achieve their goal of self-sufficiency and sustainability in many ways...

Health

There is provision of a small clinic, doctor and medicines, together with education in primary health care and a community outreach programme for the elderly.

Education

With the help of sponsorship and the purchase and upgrading of Cornerstone Primary School we are enabling children to have an education.

Enabling Women

Achieved through the formation of a women’s co-operative and by providing educational opportunities for them, together with purchase of land, training in sustainable farming and helping them to improve their living conditions.

Job Creation

Through training and micro loans the women learn skills and have the financial assistance to enable them to create their own job opportunities, so that they can feed and support their children and themselves. The purchase of land for growing commercial crops provides further work opportunities and is part of the sustainable development programme.

Every bit counts...

Give a Microloan

Microloans enable members of the community to start a small business, once established the business loan will be repaid in instalments which will in turn fund another person. For example, £100 would enable Cissy to buy a sewing machine, make clothes to sell & feed her family.
